Sthala Purāṇa tradition
The Nāgeśvara legend of the Koṭirudra Saṃhitā, the demon Dāruka, the devotee Supriya, and the Lord rising from the earth to abide as Nāgeśvara. The Dwarka, Aundha and Jageshwar traditions each claim it for their own kṣetra.

Which temple is the kṣetra? claims side by side
Contradiction Protocol: the Maharashtra tradition identifies this temple with the Nāgeśvara/Nāganātha Jyotirliṅga of Dārukāvana, and Maharashtra Tourism recognizes it among the twelve. The Gujarat tradition identifies the kṣetra with Nageshwar near Dwarka, and the Uttarakhand tradition with Jageshwar. MandirPal presents all three and adjudicates none — see the Nageshwar (Dwarka) and Jageshwar entries alongside this one.
