Overview
Viṣṇu is one of the principal deities of Sanatana Dharma, worshipped as the supreme reality in the Vaiṣṇava traditions and enshrined across Bharat in many forms: as Badarīnārāyaṇa at Badrinath (the Badarikāśrama of Nara-Nārāyaṇa), as Dvārakādhīśa — Śrī Kṛṣṇa, lord of Dvārakā — in the west, as Jagannātha at Puruṣottama Kṣetra (Puri) in the east, and as Veṅkaṭeśvara on the Veṅkaṭācala hill at Tirumala.
